The Head of Risk at brokerage group SquaredFinancial has left the firm and joined bridge and risk technology provider PrimeXM as a business development manager.
Ameer Alhindi has more than 10 years of experience in the online trading space, based on his LinkedIn profile. Most of his career has been spent on trading desks.
He began at Xtrade in customer support, then moved into a dealer role. He stayed with the broker for over four years in that position.
After departing Xtrade in 2018, Alhindi held senior trading roles at several brokers. Those included Head of Brokerage at StreamsFX and Senior Risk Manager at MultiBank.
He joined SquaredFinancial in mid-2024 as Head of Risk. His LinkedIn profile shows he left the brokerage in November.
Alhindi is the second senior trading team leader to exit SquaredFinancial in recent months.
Earlier this week, broker RADEX MARKETS said it hired Hakam Thalji as Head of Trading and Risk. Thalji previously served as Head of Dealing at SquaredFinancial and joined around the same time as Alhindi.
SquaredFinancial gave up its Cypriot license late last year, amid reports the broker may be facing financial strain.
