Andis Papageorgiou joins TIOmarkets as chief technology officer.

TIOmarkets appoints IC veteran Andis Papageorgiou as CTO

TIOmarkets has appointed Andis Papageorgiou as its new Chief Technology Officer, FNG has learned.

Papageorgiou is based in Cyprus and joined TIOmarkets earlier this year as Head of Software Engineering. He has now moved into the CTO role.

Before joining TIOmarkets, Papageorgiou spent six years at leading online broker IC. He left the company late last year after serving as Global Head of Engineering.

TIOmarkets operates an onshore business regulated by the UK's Financial Conduct Authority through tiomarkets.uk. The group also runs an offshore operation based in Mwali at tiomarkets.com.

The broker recently closed its EU-facing operation at tiomarkets.eu after giving up the CySEC CIF license held by Tiomarkets CY Ltd.

Cyprus-based Stefanos Mitsi is the group's CEO. TIOmarkets is controlled by Malaysian businessman Manmohan Singh Balbir Singh, who also owns Cyprus-based retail FX broker FXPrimus.
