Fintech company Capitolis has appointed Ashwath Bhat as its new chief financial officer,
Bhat will report to Gil Mandelzis, Capitolis' CEO and founder. He will oversee the company's global finance team and guide its financial strategy as Capitolis continues to expand.
Bhat succeeds Lindsey Baptiste Fiedler, who will stay with Capitolis as an adviser during the transition.
Before joining Capitolis, Bhat was CFO of Fractal, an artificial intelligence and analytics company. During his time there, he supported strong revenue and profit growth and led the company through its initial public offering in February 2026.
Bhat previously spent more than 10 years in senior finance positions at Nielsen. His roles included CFO of Global Media, Product and Technology, CFO of Gracenote and the Nielsen Portfolio, and regional CFO for Africa and the Middle East. Earlier in his career, he held finance leadership roles at IBM South Asia and GE Healthcare South Asia.
"Ashwath has extensive experience building and managing finance organizations during periods of rapid growth," Mandelzis said. "His background in financial planning, operational management, and global expansion will support Capitolis as we scale the business. We look forward to welcoming him to the leadership team."
Bhat said he was pleased to join Capitolis during an important stage of the company's growth. He plans to work with Mandelzis and the wider leadership team to strengthen the company's financial operations and support its long-term business priorities.
Capitolis' recent growth has included new product launches, strong business results, a larger client base, and several leadership appointments.
