CFI expands in Egypt with Amr Abdelbaky named CEO of CFI Egypt
CFI Financial Group has named Amr Abdelbaky as CEO of CFI Egypt for Brokerage and Securities and Bonds Trading, also known as CFI Egypt. The appointment highlights the group's plan to grow its presence in Egypt and improve its services for local investors.
CFI Financial Group is known worldwide for its online trading services, including access to local stock markets. In Egypt, the company focuses on giving traders and investors direct access to the domestic market.
Through CFI Egypt, clients can trade more than 200 stocks listed on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), including major companies such as CIB, QNB ALAHLI, and Telecom Egypt. The platform also offers competitive fees. As a result, local investors can take part in the Egyptian economy through clear and efficient access to listed shares, while staying within local regulatory rules.
Ziad Melhem, CEO of CFI Financial Group, said Egypt remains a key market for the company because of its solid fundamentals and rising investor activity. He added that the appointment is meant to strengthen CFI's local presence and keep the company closely connected to the Egyptian market. He also said the group wants to offer investors in Egypt a clear and efficient experience.
Abdelbaky will now oversee efforts to improve the full client journey. Since he has grown within the group, his promotion also shows CFI's focus on developing talent from within. At the same time, the company wants stronger local leadership and a better client experience across major service points.
Commenting on his new role, Abdelbaky said he is pleased to take on the position at an important stage for CFI Egypt. He said the company will focus on building a trusted name in the local market. He added that the priority is to provide a simple and reliable experience, backed by the right technology, competitive terms, and a team with a strong understanding of the market.
Alongside its main services, CFI Egypt continues to support local initiatives. One example is its partnership with the Egyptian Basketball Federation (EBF), where CFI is the official online trading partner. Through this partnership, the company supports basketball in Egypt through national teams, tournaments, and fan engagement.
CFI Egypt operates under the supervision of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA). This fits with the group's wider focus on governance and client protection. With more than 25 years of experience, CFI continues to build its business around transparency, strong oversight, and an established local presence in Egypt.
