Crypto.com plans integration talks with UAE crypto platform EmCoin

Emirates Coin Investment LLC (EmCoin), a virtual asset trading platform licensed by the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Crypto.com. The two companies will discuss ways to work together on digital asset trading services.

Under the MoU, and pending regulatory approval, EmCoin and Crypto.com will review possible technical and commercial integrations. The goal is to make it easier for EmCoin users to access and trade digital assets.

Talks include using Crypto.com’s liquidity and infrastructure to improve trade execution and widen the selection of cryptocurrencies available on EmCoin. The firms also said this could support tighter spreads.

Both sides said the effort is meant to make access to crypto markets simpler, while staying within the rules that apply in the UAE.

Crypto.com said the MoU fits its focus on working with regulated platforms, including EmCoin, which operates under an SCA license.

The companies will also look at tokenizing EmCoin’s real-world assets. This would use Crypto.com technology and partner tools, including the Cronos EVM chain, subject to regulatory requirements.

Security, compliance, and user protection will guide any next steps tied to the MoU, according to both firms.

The announcement comes as the UAE continues to grow its role as a hub for regulated digital finance. By pairing EmCoin’s multi-asset offering with Crypto.com’s scale and tech, the companies said they want to support wider digital asset use, with a focus on transparency and trust.

“Crypto focus is on making digital asset holdings easier to access, manage, and move, without compromising on security and user protection,” said Yasin Arafat, Chief Operations Officer at EmCoin. He added that working with Crypto.com could help support higher trade volumes through stronger liquidity.

Eric Anziani, President and Chief Operating Officer of Crypto.com, said: “Making it easier for people to interact with digital assets in a regulated and safe environment is at the core of everything we do.”

Alain Yacine, President of Middle East and Latin America at Crypto.com, said the talks reflect a shared goal of making it easier for people in the region to engage with digital assets.

EmCoin is licensed by the SCA to offer regulated virtual asset services in the UAE. It also provides access to other markets, including foreign exchange, equities, exchange-traded funds, and commodities.

Crypto.com, founded in 2016, operates worldwide and offers crypto services to millions of users under different regulatory frameworks.
