FP Markets appoints Nikolay Nikolaev as Chief Technology Officer

FP Markets names Nikolay Nikolaev as chief technology officer

FP Markets has hired Nikolay Nikolaev as its new chief technology officer. He brings more than 25 years of experience in fintech and capital markets technology.

Nikolaev joined the broker full-time in June 2026 and works from FP Markets' Limassol office.

Before joining FP Markets, he held CTO roles at Skilling, Zenfinex, Global Kapital Group, and ActivTrades.

Nikolaev previously led technology at Skilling

Nikolaev spent over two years as CTO of Skilling, from August 2023 through November 2025. His profile states that he reorganized the broker's technology division, reduced delivery times, and helped maintain platform uptime at around 98%.

He became CTO of Zenfinex, now known as Taurex, in June 2021. Nikolaev was the company's first technology employee and helped develop its technology systems, products, and operational infrastructure before leaving in July 2023.

Earlier in his career, he led technology at Global Kapital Group for five years. During that period, he grew the technology team from 15 employees to more than 85 across three countries, according to his profile.

Nikolaev also spent more than four years as CTO at ActivTrades. He co-founded QUADRELION, an engineering consultancy and algorithmic trading company.
