eToro Names Pavlos Elpidorou Global Head of Brokerage

eToro appoints IG/BrightPool alum Pavlos Elpidorou as Global Head of Brokerage

eToro (NASDAQ:ETOR) has brought on Pavlos Elpidorou as its new Global Head of Brokerage. He previously worked at IG Group’s BrightPool Ltd unit in Cyprus, which has since closed.

Elpidorou was part of the leadership team at BrightPool, a CySEC-regulated operation. He served as COO and Executive Director from 2022. He joined IG/BrightPool in 2019 as Head of Dealing and later moved into the senior leadership role.

Before his time at IG and BrightPool, Elpidorou held roles at CFD brokers OBR Invest and at Rodeler Ltd, the operator of 24option.com and 24fx.com.

IG announced in 2024 that it planned to shut down projects that weren’t producing acceptable returns. That decision included BrightPool, along with BrightPool’s voluntary renunciation of its CySEC CIF license.
