Kraken has appointed Donato Silvestri as Head of EMEA Prime Sales, a move to strengthen its institutional business across the region.

Kraken has appointed Donato Silvestri as Head of EMEA Prime Sales, adding to its institutional leadership team as it expands services for professional investors across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Silvestri joined Kraken more than a year ago as an Institutional Sales Manager. In his new role, he brings experience in institutional client relations, prime brokerage, and alternative investments to the company's regional business.
Before joining Kraken, he spent nearly four years at BNP Paribas as an Executive Director, leading sales and relationship management for alternative investments. Earlier in his career, Silvestri held roles at JPMorgan in EMEA platform sales and prime and alternative investment services. He also worked at UniCredit.
The appointment comes as cryptocurrency exchanges compete for business from hedge funds, asset managers, and other professional investors. Kraken's expanded EMEA Prime Sales team will support its institutional clients seeking access to digital asset markets.
