Mitrade appoints Timur Konsky as CEO of its EU business

Mitrade has named Timur Konsky chief executive of Mitrade EU Limited, the company's Cyprus-based subsidiary regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).

The retail forex and CFD broker, which focuses on clients in the Far East, also reported strong growth during the first seven months of 2026. The number of active trading clients increased by more than 50% year over year, while trading volume rose 148.4% compared with the same period in 2025.

Mitrade EU has held its CySEC license since 2023. Konsky joined the Cyprus operation earlier this year as chief operating officer before taking on the CEO role.

He previously worked as head of marketing at ActivTrades, chief marketing officer at HYCM, and head of marketing at TopFX. His earlier experience also includes senior marketing positions at FxPro and AFX Capital.

Commenting on his appointment, Konsky said:

"'Trader-centric' is one of the most frequently used phrases in brokerage marketing. The claim only matters when a growing broker continues to listen to traders and respond to their needs. Europe has a shared regulatory framework, but it isn't one unified retail market. Each country has different trading habits, product preferences, market conditions, and expectations regarding pricing, customer support, and trust.

"At Mitrade EU, we want to maintain a direct feedback channel between traders and the teams responsible for our products. Their feedback will help us adjust the experience for each market and let the product demonstrate its value.

"Growth also brings responsibility. Around 80% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with us. Although the risk warning is required, responsible communication has to go further than a standard disclosure. Traders need clear information about the limits of risk-management tools, the possibility of larger-than-expected losses, and the fact that some products or market conditions may not suit them.

"A broker's growth must remain connected to its main responsibility: understanding traders' needs and building its services around them."

Mitrade EU will initially focus on Germany as it expands its European operations. The company plans to collect feedback throughout the German customer journey, including account opening, pricing information, platform use, risk management, and support.

That feedback will guide product decisions in Germany and help shape Mitrade's plans for entering additional European markets.
