RoboMarkets appoints Jon Holguin as CEO amid Swiss expansion

RoboMarkets has named Jon Holguin CEO of RoboMarkets Switzerland as the brokerage group grows its presence in the country.

Holguin shared the news on LinkedIn. He said he will lead the Swiss team, guide the company's growth strategy and expand its operations across Switzerland. His profile lists the Zurich-based role as beginning in October.

The appointment builds on the broker's existing Swiss operations. RoboMarkets has maintained RoboMarkets Swiss GmbH in Zug since 2022. The company operates as a FINMA-authorized representative office of BaFin-regulated RoboMarkets Deutschland GmbH. The group also expanded its offering to include 1,400 stocks and ETFs.

Holguin said he looks forward to leading the local team and supporting the company's growth in Switzerland.

Before joining RoboMarkets, he was chief operating officer and managing director at Euler Heritage Family Office from February 2024 to June 2026.

Holguin also held senior roles at Swiss investment products provider Helveteq and DCG. Earlier in his career, he spent more than three years at Credit Suisse, working with ultra-high-net-worth clients in the Middle East, and held several positions at UBS. His experience also includes private banking roles at Credit Suisse and BBVA.

RoboMarkets has regulated or representative operations in Germany, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Sweden and Switzerland. Holguin's appointment follows other leadership changes at the broker, including Mateusz Zelek's appointment as managing director of its Polish branch.
