SBI Securities Names Mufaddal Matcheswala Chief Business Officer for Capital Markets

SBICAP Securities Limited, which operates under the SBI Securities brand, has appointed Mufaddal Matcheswala as Chief Business Officer for Capital Markets. The appointment took effect immediately and adds senior leadership experience as the company expands its retail and institutional businesses.

Matcheswala will oversee the capital markets division's business strategy. His responsibilities will include increasing growth, improving customer engagement, expanding distribution and supporting initiatives that strengthen SBI Securities' position in the market.

He has more than 23 years of experience in financial services and capital markets. His background includes business management, distribution, customer acquisition and growth planning.

Before joining SBI Securities, Matcheswala spent almost 20 years with HDFC Securities, where he held a number of senior positions. His most recent role was Chief Business Officer.

Earlier, he worked as Chief Growth Officer and managed the company's digital centers, open-market business, B2B operations and alliance sourcing. His experience across retail and institutional segments gives him a broad understanding of customer acquisition, distribution planning and capital market operations.

In his new position, Matcheswala will help SBI Securities expand its reach and build stronger customer relationships. The company expects his experience in developing scalable businesses and supporting customer-led growth to strengthen its distribution network and wider business plans.

Baldev Prakash, Managing Director and CEO of SBICAP Securities, said Matcheswala's experience in business expansion and execution would support the company's efforts to grow its capital markets business.

Matcheswala said he would work with the leadership team to increase growth, improve customer engagement and expand distribution. He also plans to support the development of solutions that meet customer needs.

The appointment brings an experienced capital markets executive to SBI Securities' senior leadership team after Matcheswala's long career in India's financial services sector.
