Scope Prime has hired Ashraf Mushasha as its Institutional Sales Manager for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), adding to the firm's regional team as it grows its institutional brokerage business.
Mushasha is based in Dubai and will build relationships with institutional clients across MENA. He will also work with brokers that need liquidity and execution services.
His background includes institutional liquidity, financial services business development, multi-asset execution, and client relationship management.
"We're expanding our MENA team as we continue to develop our institutional services," Scope Prime CEO Daniel Lawrance said.
"Brokers need professionals who understand their client flow and can address liquidity and risk requirements in practical terms. Ashraf strengthens our local coverage as we offer more brokers across the region access to our prime-of-prime and systematic internalization services."
Scope Prime's institutional offering combines prime-of-prime liquidity with systematic internalization. The setup lets brokers decide which client flow to internalize and hedge the remaining exposure externally.
The company also provides 24/7 trading on selected commodity CFDs.
Mushasha said extended trading hours for gold and oil CFDs were affecting how brokers in the region assess liquidity and capital needs.
"Execution quality is only one part of the process. Brokers also need to review available liquidity and the capital needed to support positions outside standard market hours," he said.
Scope Prime is the institutional brand of Rostro Group. The company provides liquidity, execution, and trading infrastructure to brokers, professional trading firms, hedge funds, and other institutional clients.
