Brokerage veteran Tim Plummer has stepped into the role of Chief Executive Officer at prop firm FunderPro and CFD broker NextTrade.
Plummer replaces Gary Mullen as CEO of FunderPro. Mullen has left the firm and started a new marketing automation and optimization company called StopChurn.
Based in London, Plummer previously worked as Head of Product Strategy at Capital.com. Before that, he spent eight years at IG Group and left in 2022 as Head of Platform Innovation. His background also includes roles at Vantage, Marex, and Sucden Financial.
The leadership change comes after Petros Kalaitzis, who had been Deputy CEO and Chief Strategy Officer at FunderPro, left earlier this year to lead IC Markets' prop trading unit, IC Funded.
Plummer said on social media that he is now leading FunderPro, FunderPro Futures, and NextTrade. He also said the group has secured strategic investment to support regional expansion, improve its market position, and strengthen its balance sheet.
He added that the funding will help the group move faster, build new products for clients, and expand into new markets.
