TenTrade has appointed Wilfred Obasi as its new Regional Director for Africa. He will lead the broker's commercial activities in the region, taking over the role from Victor Ufot.
The Seychelles-based offshore CFD broker also operates a proprietary trading business. Obasi joins TenTrade after 13 years with Exinity, where he most recently worked as Partner Enablement Manager at the company's Dubai office.
His experience includes client acquisition, partner relations, and business development in the foreign exchange and CFD sectors. He has also spent much of his career working with African markets.
At TenTrade, Obasi will oversee revenue growth, customer acquisition, partner development, and product expansion across Africa. His responsibilities will also include adapting the company's CFD and prop trading services to meet regional demand.
"My primary focus will naturally be on deepening relationships with our partners and brokers here," Obasi said.
TenTrade Chief Revenue Officer Andreas Andreou said Obasi's understanding of African markets would help guide the company's regional plans.
Obasi's appointment gives TenTrade a dedicated senior executive for Africa as the broker works to expand its presence across the continent.
The hire is part of a series of executive changes at TenTrade this year. In June, Andreou joined the company as Partner and Chief Revenue Officer after working as Chief Sales Officer at INGOT Brokers.
Marios Morfakis also joined TenTrade as Chief Sales Officer after leading business development at INGOT Brokers. Andreou previously held senior commercial positions at BDSwiss, including Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Revenue Officer. He also worked as Head of Business Development at HF Markets DIFC.
TenTrade has increased its marketing activity in Africa as well. In April, the broker appointed former Portugal international soccer player Luis Figo as its global brand ambassador. The partnership connects with Figo's former number 10 shirt.
In June, TenTrade won the Fastest Growing Broker award at the Trading Awards Africa 2026. The award was decided through a public vote covering brokers and fintech companies active in African markets.
Obasi's appointment adds a regional executive to TenTrade's commercial and marketing efforts. The broker has identified Africa as a key growth market for 2026.
