Kenya CFDs broker Empire FX appoints Pepperstone Africa head Sahil Patel as COO

Empire FX, a Kenya-based retail FX and CFDs broker licensed by the CMA, has named Sahil Patel as chief operating officer. The move comes as the company pushes into its next stage of overseas growth.

Patel will work from Empire FX's Nairobi office. He brings broad experience in the global trading industry, including six years as head of Africa at Australia-based broker Pepperstone. Before that, he held senior positions at IG Group.

As COO, Patel will oversee global operations. His focus will include stronger internal systems, a better client experience, and support for growth in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.

Peter Onyango, CEO of Empire FX, said the hire comes at an important time for the company. He said Empire FX is building a larger, more advanced Forex and CFD business that can operate on a global level.
