Lunaro hires Jonnie Taylor from Tickmill to head Futures sales

Tickmill exec Jonnie Taylor joins Lunaro as head of Futures sales

CFDs broker Lunaro has brought in industry veteran Jonnie Taylor as Head of Futures Sales.

Taylor, who is based in London, joins Lunaro after four years at Tickmill. There, he worked as Global ETD Partnership Manager and helped grow the firm's futures and options business through strategic partnerships and related projects.

Before Tickmill, he held roles at Saxo Bank UK, GH Financials, RBC, and StoneX. At StoneX, he worked with current Lunaro CEO Nick Spencer-Skeen.

Lunaro adopted its new brand last year, following its rebrand from APM Capital. The change came after UAE-based broker APM acquired BUX UK, the FCA-regulated arm of Amsterdam-based neobroker BUX, after BUX itself was acquired by ABN Amro.

APM, now Lunaro, launched in 2021 as a UAE-based CFDs broker. Indian entrepreneur Disha Rajdev holds a controlling stake in the company.

Taylor also shared a short message on social media about the move. He said his final day at Tickmill UK had arrived and that he was proud of what the team built on the futures side of the business over the past few years. He also thanked both colleagues and clients who were part of that progress.

Next, he said he plans to spend a couple of weeks with family before starting his new role at Lunaro in London. He added that the ETD market is growing quickly, which makes it a strong time to join a firm with full exchange and platform coverage.

He also said he's looking forward to getting started with Joshua Owen, Nick Spencer-Skeen, and the wider team next month. In addition, as the weather starts to improve, he said he hopes to reconnect with contacts across the City.
