Dubai-based retail FX and CFD broker MultiBank has appointed Vibhanshu Bahuguna as senior director at its institutional ECN division, MEX Exchange.
Bahuguna's appointment follows the death of Keith Tebbutt, who held the same position at MEX Exchange and was considered the second-ranking executive under CEO David Ogg.
Based in Singapore, Bahuguna started his career at Bloomberg before moving to TradingScreen, where he worked on multi-asset trading access solutions. He later led State Street's Currenex and FX Connect businesses across Southeast Asia.
In 2015, Bahuguna joined TradAir to head its Asia-Pacific operations. During his time there, he helped expand the use of FX aggregation, pricing engines, and white-label trading technology. ION Group acquired TradAir in 2022.
Before joining MEX Exchange, Bahuguna led sales and business development at Cypator ECN. He worked with one of TradAir's original co-founders to grow Cypator's presence among institutional clients.
MEX Exchange also appointed another former TradAir executive, Brian Andreyko, as chief product officer earlier this year.
David Ogg, CEO of MEX Exchange, said:
"We are pleased to welcome Vibhanshu to the team. He brings a strong mix of commercial leadership, market knowledge, and relationships across institutional trading. His work building electronic trading businesses in the Asia-Pacific region will support MEX Exchange as we expand our operations globally."
Bahuguna added:
"MEX Exchange offers an exciting opportunity in institutional electronic trading. The company's technology, leadership team, and direction create a strong platform for improving institutional market access. I look forward to supporting the company's next stage of growth."
MEX Exchange provides electronic trading technology, liquidity, execution services, smart order routing, and credit intermediation for banks, brokers, hedge funds, and professional trading firms.
The company is MultiBank Group's institutional division and operates across global FX, metals, and emerging markets. MultiBank and MEX Exchange are controlled by founder and chairman Naser Taher.
