Nucleus Financial has named Dave Reynolds its next chief technology officer as the UK wealthtech group expands its investment in technology and business transformation.
Reynolds is scheduled to start in early January 2027, pending regulatory approval. Along with leading technology, he will oversee transformation and change across the company.
He joins Nucleus from Quilter, where he spent about eight years and most recently worked as group chief information officer. Earlier in his career, Reynolds held senior technology roles at Quilter and Old Mutual Wealth, gaining experience in technology strategy, infrastructure upgrades, and financial services transformation.
Reynolds will replace Jenny Thorpe, who plans to leave Nucleus at the end of 2026 for a new role. He is also expected to join the executive leadership team as the company develops its technology for financial advisers and wealth managers.
Nucleus provides platform and technology services for advisers and wealth managers across the UK, including tools for managing investments, portfolios, and pensions. The group oversees about £117 billion in assets, making technology and operational efficiency key parts of its growth plans.
